On December 15th, the Gershman Y is hosting Yo La Tengo in concert to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Velvet Underground’s Philadelphia debut.

With over 500 tickets sold, we expect that this event will be the event of the year. An exhibition of photos of Andy Warhol, the Velvet Underground, and superstar Nico will open on the evening of December 1 in anticipation of the event.

In honor of this exhibition and special performance, we are proud to announce that THE PHILLY SHOPS is collaborating with the Gershman Y to curate a one-time shopping event on December 1. In homageto Andy Warhol and the culture of pop art, THE FACTORY: a pop up shop, will feature a mix of Philadelphia independent designers and brands, along with a few of our favorite boutiques.
